a visual history

Here I've placed screencaps of the old looks of the HBN and my personal site, "Wapiko Domain, Dammit". It actually started out as my personal site, The Fifth Chapter.

Harmony Bunny Network

Version: 01 - Bubbles
Comments: This was a premade layout. I remember I wanted a picture of Harmony Bunny instead of Bubbles in that box, but I couldn't find one. ;_;

Version: 02 - Ryouko & Myoubi
Comments: This layout featured Ryouko and Myoubi from the gorgeous manga Alichino.

Version: 03 - Chibiusa
Comments: Yes, I do think I was on crack when I made this. And UGH I was a "omg kawaii like super sugoi!!" person...X_X; This is embarrassing. Um. All of those things aside, the layout was mega-cute.

Version: 04 - Izaki Hisato
Comments: This layout was the HBN's last. I then left my site to rot in the web-dust until 2004. =D

Wapiko Domain, Dammit

Wapiko Domain, Dammit (WDD for short) was my personal website. The HBN began as my personal website and eventually branched off into WDD. The title came from being angry one day while blogging; I was thinking about how my free speech had been denied by a few certain friends, and I wrote "It's Wapiko domain, dammit! I can say what I want!"

Version: 01 - The Fifth Chapter
Comments: I realize it wasn't the prettiest layout, but I liked it. Besides, I was just starting out and enlisted the help of a few friends as well. It was sometime in October 2000 that I started the HBN, only then it was just "The Fifth Chapter". It was named this because of my obsession for the manga PQ Angels, which ended abruptly after four chapters. I always wondered what Takeuchi Naoko had in store for the fifth chapter, and I even had started my own fanfiction for it. Anyway, after a couple more layout changes, the site became known as "The Everchanging Title" and eventually became what it is today.

Version: 02 - Funk Momo-pi
Comments: This was a premade layout of Hanasaki Momoko from Wedding Peach, and the name was a play on the song "Funk Jama-pi" from the same series. This was located at www.virtue.nu/pko.

Version: 03 - Ojamajo Orange
Comments: This premade layout was of Fujiwara Hazuki from Ojamajo Orange. Further proving my comments from version 01, I couldn't decide on a name for myself. -_-; This layout was up May 20th, 2001. Wow. This was at www.virtue.nu/pko.

Version: 04 - Doremicchi
Comments: Another premade Ojamajo Doremi layout. This was at envy.nu/pko.

Version: 05 - Uh-oh, better get Maico!
Comments: I remember being pretty damned proud of this layout. It still sucked. I did, however, get a proper host with this layout change. I also remember thinking I was pretty damn clever for the slogan, even if Maico's pronounced "mykoh". Was at www.glass-tears.net/wapiko. It continued on into moving to one of the best places I was hosted at, www.chibi-bunny.net/~wapiko.

Version: 06 - Heaven on Earth
Comments: Ah yes, my first layout at which I experimented with popups and frames. Now I could do it easily without breaking a sweat, but that was a bitch to make at the time. I mean shit, now that's novice stuff even for me. =_=; The girl is Birdy from Tetsuwan Birdy (Birdy the Mighty), and this was located at www.chibi-bunny.net/~wapiko.

Version: 07 - Japan
Comments: Ugh, just when I think my layouts can't get any shittier, I come to this one. Going back through my layouts is like looking at a train wreck, I swear. The lovely model in this is Fukada Kyoko, my very first gravure idol. <3 There were plans of this moving to www.sour-apples.net (the new chibi-bunny domain), but it was always at www.chibi-bunny.net/~wapiko.

Version: 08 - Love Song
Comments: This was one of the few layouts I truly loved. The subject is Yoshizawa Hitomi of Morning Musume. I moved again (chibi-bunny eventually went down); this was at wapiko.taihenkawaii.com.

Version: 09 - Escapism
Comments: Escapism is where Wapiko Domain, Dammit began and ended. I shut down my personal site due to personal reasons (that sounds funny) soon after. The layout featured artwork by ABe Yoshitoshi. This was at www.senshi-no-omoi.net/wapiko.
